課程概述

This course is designed to facilitate research abilities of doctoral students and to help student to expedite the process of developing their own research proposal for dissertation.
Each student will present in the class an overview of their recent work on one interested topic, critique methodology of previous research, identify gap in the literature, and propose a research idea to fill the gap. Moreover, it is required for students to present their study in English in order to enhance their ability to conduct an oral presentation in international conferences.

課程目標

At the end of the course, the students will be able to :
1. Evaluate and integrate research articles astutely.
2. Master the skills of literature review, analysis, and application.
3. Develop the ability of scientific and critical thinking.
4. Translating nursing concepts to research.
5. Demonstrate the ability to construct a research proposal.

課程要求

1. Systematic review of literature
2. Presentation of literature or research progress
20 minutes oral presentation and respond to the comments and open discussion for another 20 minutes. Student has to send their presentation material to the commentator and upload file to CEIBA one week prior to presentation. Presenters are highly recommended to discuss with their mentors prior to the presentations.
3. Organizing and leading discussion
4. Research and concepts critique skills
5. Participating discussion
6.Comments of the presentation
The role of commentators is to raise questions and make insightful comments to contribute to the quality of the presentation.
7. Written paper on the topic of oral presentation
A publishable manuscript writing in the APA (6th ed.) style .
